It is with great pride and excitement that I introduce myself, Jami Hasty, as the principal of Mustang Trails Elementary. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to serve the Mustang Community as the leader of this fantastic school. I also feel extremely honored to say that I have spent my entire educational career within the Mustang school district.

Prior to becoming the head principal, I spent 3 years as the assistant principal at Trails. Before that, I was a special education teacher for 18 years. As a special education teacher, I had the honor of working with countless hard-working faculty members, administrators, and students. I am so grateful for my days teaching in the classroom and the lessons I learned along the way. As an administrator, I continue to learn each day from staff members, our precious students, parents, and community members. The day I stop learning from others is the day I need to hang up my hat. I truly believe that with an open heart and mind, you can always learn something new.

I spend a great amount of time at school, but when I’m not in the building, I’m enjoying time and making memories with my family. I have a wonderful husband and two amazing children. My husband shares my passion for education. He has been in education for over 25 years and is one of the physical education teachers at Meadow Brook Intermediate. We are both very blessed to be working and growing professionally within the same school district. We are also honored that both of our children attended Mustang Public Schools K-12. From the perspective of a parent, I can honestly say that Mustang has the best teachers, administrators, counselors, and staff members in the state!

As a long-time Bronco and member of the Mustang community, I’m proud to carry on the tradition our district upholds and continue the legacy of Mustang Trails being a great place to learn and grow!
